Ingredients

2 medium cucumbers, sliced into 1-inch thick rounds

1 can (5 oz) tuna in water, thoroughly drained and flaked

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Greek yogurt (optional for an extra creamy texture)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon freshly chopped dill (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)

1 tablespoon capers, rinsed and finely chopped

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Cherry tomatoes, halved (for garnish)

Fresh dill sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Cucumbers: Begin by slicing the cucumbers into 1-inch thick rounds. With a small melon baller or a teaspoon, carefully scoop out a portion of the flesh from the center of each round to form a small cavity. Make sure to leave the bottom intact to hold the filling.

Make the Tuna Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, Greek yogurt (if using), Dijon mustard, lemon juice, chopped dill, capers, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly until you achieve a creamy and cohesive filling.

Stuff the Cucumber Rounds: Using a spoon or a piping bag for precision, fill each cucumber round generously with the prepared tuna mixture. Make sure the filling mounds slightly above the edge of the cucumber for an appealing presentation.

Garnish: Place a halved cherry tomato atop each stuffed cucumber bite for a vibrant burst of color, and add a small sprig of fresh dill to enhance both appearance and flavor.

Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the stuffed cucumber bites for at least 30 minutes; this allows the flavors to meld beautifully and ensures they are served cold. Arrange them elegantly on a platter just before serving, and enjoy as a refreshing appetizer or light snack.
