Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 oz each)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)

Lemon wedges, for serving

Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Salmon: Begin by patting the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This helps achieve a crispy outer layer. Season both sides of each fillet generously with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

Make the Glaze: In a small mixing bowl, combine the Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and thyme. Whisk the mixture until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the glaze is smooth. Set this delicious glaze aside for later use.

Heat the Skillet: Place a large skillet on the stove over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the olive oil, allowing it to heat until it shimmers in the pan, indicating it's ready for cooking.

Cook the Salmon: Carefully place the salmon fillets into the skillet, skin-side down if they have skin. Cook without moving the fillets for about 4-5 minutes. This allows the skin to crisp up nicely while the flesh cooks partially through.

Add the Glaze: Once the fillets are golden and crispy, gently flip each salmon fillet using a spatula. Immediately pour the prepared honey mustard glaze over the fillets. Lower the heat to medium-low and let them cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. During this time, spoon the glaze over the salmon occasionally to enhance its flavor. The salmon is ready when it flakes easily with a fork.

Serve: Remove the skillet from heat and carefully transfer the glazed salmon to serving plates. Drizzle any leftover glaze from the skillet over the top for an extra flavor boost. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side to add a zesty finish. Enjoy your delightful meal!
