Ingredients

8 oz. wide rice noodles

1 lb. flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 cups broccoli florets

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

3 garlic cloves, minced

1-inch piece of ginger, grated

1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/4 cup beef broth (or water)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the wide rice noodles and cook according to the package instructions until tender. Once cooked, drain the noodles and rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, brown sugar, and beef broth. Mix until the cornstarch is fully dissolved and the ingredients are well combined. Set this sauce mixture aside for later use.

Cook the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a spacious skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced flank steak in a single layer to the skillet. Sear the beef for approximately 2-3 minutes on each side, or until it develops a nice brown color. Once cooked, remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.

Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and freshly grated ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until both are fragrant and golden. Then, toss in the broccoli florets, stir-frying for about 3-4 minutes until the broccoli turns bright green and is tender yet crisp.

Combine All Ingredients: Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the sautéed broccoli. Pour in the prepared sauce mixture, stirring to evenly coat the beef and vegetables. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and cling to the ingredients.

Mix in the Noodles: Carefully add the previously cooked rice noodles to the skillet. Using tongs or a wooden spoon, gently toss everything together until the noodles are well-enveloped in the savory sauce and heated through.

Garnish and Serve: Once fully combined, remove the skillet from heat. Serve the Beef & Broccoli Noodle Harmony hot, garnished with a sprinkle of sliced green onions and a dusting of sesame seeds for an added crunch.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

Presentation Tips: Serve in large bowls with the noodles piled high, garnished elegantly with green onions and sesame seeds. A drizzle of extra sesame oil can also add a beautiful sheen and flavor to the dish. Enjoy every bite!
