2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning blend

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for added heat)

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prepare the Spaghetti Squash: Carefully slice the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise. Use a spoon to scoop out the seeds and any stringy bits. Drizzle the inside of each half with olive oil and sprinkle generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to enhance the flavor.

      Roast the Squash: Place the squash halves cut side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easier cleanup. Roast them in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the flesh is tender and easily shreds into spaghetti-like strands with a fork.

        Sauté the Marinara Sauce: While the squash is roasting, pour the marinara sauce into a small saucepan and heat over medium. Stir in the Italian seasoning, allowing the mixture to simmer for 5-10 minutes. This will give the sauce time to develop deeper flavors.
