Ingredients

1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 medium lemons)

1 cup granulated sugar

4 cups cold water, divided

2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender

Lemon slices, for garnish

Fresh lavender sprigs, for garnish

Ice cubes

Instructions

Prepare the Lavender Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of cold water with the granulated sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously until the sugar is fully dissolved. This should take just a few minutes.

Infuse the Lavender: Once the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is gently boiling, add the dried lavender. Remove the saucepan from the heat and cover. Allow the lavender to steep for 15-20 minutes, which will infuse the syrup with a fragrant floral flavor.

Strain the Syrup: When the steeping time is complete, pour the lavender syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl or jar to remove the dried lavender flowers, leaving a clear syrup. Let the syrup cool to room temperature.

Mix the Lemonade: In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, the cooled lavender syrup, and the remaining 3 cups of cold water. Stir well until everything is thoroughly mixed. Taste the lemonade; add additional sugar for sweetness or more water to dilute it as preferred.

Chill the Lemonade: Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and let the lemonade chill for at least 1 hour to ensure it is refreshingly cold.

Serve: To serve, fill each glass with ice cubes, then pour the chilled iced lavender lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh lavender for a beautiful presentation.

Enjoy: Sit back and enjoy this delightful floral and citrus blend on a warm sunny day!
