Instructions

Prepare the Base:

    - In a medium mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and cocoa powder. Pour in the melted coconut oil and honey (or maple syrup), stirring until all the ingredients are well mixed, and the texture resembles damp sand.

      - Firmly press this mixture into the bottom of an 8x8 inch baking dish to create an even layer. Place the dish in the freezer to allow it to set for approximately 15 minutes.

        Make the Banana Layer:

          - In a separate bowl, thoroughly mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Mix in the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until the mixture is cohesive.

            - Retrieve the base layer from the freezer and gently spread the banana mixture evenly over it. Return this to the freezer to set for an additional 15 minutes.

              Prepare the Strawberry Layer:

                - If you prefer sweeter strawberries, sprinkle the sliced strawberries with sugar and let them sit for 5-10 minutes to release their juices.

                  - Once the banana layer is set, evenly distribute the strawberry slices over the banana layer. Place the dish back in the freezer for another 10-15 minutes.

                    Make the Chocolate Syrup:

                      - In a small heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth (taking care not to overheat).

                        - Drizzle the warm chocolate syrup over the strawberry layer in a decorative pattern. Optionally, use a toothpick to create a marbled effect by swirling it gently.

                          Finish and Freeze:

                            - Evenly sprinkle crushed nuts over the chocolate layer, pressing them lightly to ensure they adhere.

                              - Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until the bars are completely solid.

                                Serve:

                                  - Once fully frozen, lift the bars from the baking dish using the edges of the plastic wrap. Cut into squares or bars.

                                    - Serve each piece topped with a dollop of whipped cream and, if desired, a maraschino cherry for an extra touch of whimsy.

                                      ---
