Ingredients

1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into uniform florets

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons your favorite hot sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or adjust to desired heat)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons nutritional yeast (optional, for a cheesy flavor enhancement)

Fresh cilantro or parsley, finely chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Prep the Cauliflower: Begin by rinsing the cauliflower under cold water. Carefully cut it into bite-sized florets, ensuring they are similar in size for even cooking.

Make the Spicy Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk everything together until it's evenly mixed and has a smooth consistency.

Coat the Cauliflower: Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl with the marinade. Toss gently yet thoroughly until each floret is beautifully coated with the spicy mixture. If you’re using nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor, sprinkle it over the coated florets and toss again to distribute it well.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes to ensure the cauliflower cooks perfectly.

Air Fry the Cauliflower: Arrange the marinated cauliflower florets in the air fryer basket in a single, even layer. Be careful not to overcrowd the basket to allow for optimal airflow. You might need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

Cook: Air fry the florets for 15-20 minutes. About halfway through the cooking time, shake the basket to promote even cooking and crispiness. The cauliflower is done when it’s crispy on the outside and has developed a slightly charred appearance.

Garnish & Serve: Once cooked to perfection, remove the cauliflower from the air fryer and transfer it to a stylish serving dish. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro or parsley for a pop of color and flavor. Serve immediately as an irresistible spicy snack or a vibrant side dish!
