3 cups fresh broccoli florets (or frozen, thawed and drained)

1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup cream of chicken soup

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional, for a smoky flavor)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for a crunchy topping)

2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or a little oil to prevent sticking.

    Prepare the Broccoli: If using fresh broccoli, steam or blanch the florets for 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and just tender. Drain them well and set aside. For frozen broccoli, make sure it is fully thawed and any excess moisture is removed to avoid a watery bake.

      Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, prepared broccoli, cooked rice, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and paprika (if using). Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly combined and coated with the creamy mixture.

        Add Cheese: Carefully fold in half of the shredded cheddar cheese into the mixture, distributing it evenly for an extra cheesy flavor.

          Assemble: Transfer the chicken and broccoli mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out into an even layer.
