Ingredients

4 ripe bananas

1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips

2 tablespoons coconut oil (or vegetable shortening)

1/2 cup crushed nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts, or peanuts)

1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

1/2 teaspoon sea salt (optional)

Popsicle sticks or wooden skewers

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Start by peeling the bananas and cutting them in half crosswise. Carefully insert a popsicle stick or wooden skewer into the cut end of each banana half to create easy-to-hold pops.

Freeze the Bananas: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the banana pops on it, ensuring they are spaced apart to prevent sticking. Freeze for at least 2-3 hours, or until the bananas are completely frozen solid.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat the mixture in the microwave using 30-second intervals, stirring vigorously in between each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted and silky smooth.

Dip the Bananas: Once the banana pops are frozen, remove them from the freezer. Dip each banana into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to gently drip off back into the bowl.

Add Toppings: While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle your choice of toppings—crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or a light sprinkle of sea salt—onto the chocolate-coated bananas for an added flavor and texture burst.

Final Freeze: Carefully place the dipped banana pops back onto the lined baking sheet. Return them to the freezer for an additional 30 minutes, allowing the chocolate to set and harden completely.

Serve: Enjoy your Banana Bliss Bombs immediately for the freshest taste, or store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week for a quick and delightful treat later on.
