Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or your preferred milk)

1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and diced into small pieces

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey for sweetness)

1/4 cup Greek yogurt (optional, for extra creaminess)

2 tablespoons chia seeds

1/4 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional, for texture)

A pinch of salt

Instructions

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats and unsweetened almond milk. If you’re using Greek yogurt, add it to the bowl as well. Stir the mixture with a spoon until all ingredients are well incorporated and the oats are fully submerged in the liquid.

To the oat mixture, add the diced apple, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, chia seeds, and a pinch of salt. Stir thoroughly to ensure each ingredient is evenly distributed throughout the oats.

If you crave a bit of crunch in your overnight oats, gently fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans.

Evenly divide the prepared mixture into two mason jars or airtight containers, sealing them tightly to prevent any leaks.

Place the jars or containers in the refrigerator and let them chill overnight, or for at least 5 hours. This allows the oats to soak up the milk and meld with the flavors.

The next morning, give the oats a hearty stir. Serve them cold directly from the fridge, or if you prefer, warm them up in the microwave for a cozy dish. Add additional diced apples, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and more nuts on top before enjoying!

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 8 hours (including soaking) | Servings: 2

                - Presentation Tips: Consider serving in clear glass jars to showcase the layered ingredients. Top with a dollop of Greek yogurt and a drizzle of maple syrup for an appealing finish!
